When you are looking daycare providers to care of your child while you’re at work or school, accreditations and licenses aren’t the only qualifications to consider. It is important for your child’s teacher have the necessary New Mexico credentials, but there’s more to providing a kid-friendly child care than what goes on paper.
At Smiling Faces and Kids Academy, we make sure our teachers have the right educational background and maintain their CPR and First Aid certifications. But more importantly, we choose teachers who love kids. You and your child can feel the effects—you just know when you walk into our daycare centers that our teachers like being there and they’re happy to see your kid!
Meet our Staff
To make sure activities are age-appropriate and that children are generally at the same skill levels, classrooms at Smiling Faces and Kids Academy are grouped by age:
- 8 Weeks to 1 Year (Kids Academy only)
- 1-2 Years (Kids Academy only)
- 2-3 Years
- 3-4 Years
- 4-5 Years
Each classroom has 1 primary teacher. There’s also a “floating” teacher who assists in any classroom whenever needed.
In addition to our teachers, both Albuquerque, NM daycare centers have a full-time cook and drop-off/pick-up receptionist. Although not involved with the education programs, these staff are loving caregivers that get to know your child and tend to their needs in their own ways.
We wanted our staff to tell you about themselves in their own way, but they were too busy developing creative preschool activities, serving nutritious snacks, or seeing them safely off to write their own bios. So to meet our daycare providers and feel the spark from someone who truly cares about your child the way you do, please visit us.
